The Rocky Shore high tide

Today we had to put the creatures of the rocky shore into the right zone in the water. The first zone is the splash zone this is where water just splashes on the rocks only at really high tides. The creatures here have to be able to live out of water for a long time. These include sea gulls, fur seals, barnacles and snails. The next zone is the high zone which has lots of waves and changes with the tide. The creatures here are limpets, cushion starfish and crabs. There is the mid zone which is uncovered twice a day when it is low tide. The creatures here are crabs, bigger starfish and chitons. Then there is the low zone, this is always underwater so you find fish, seaweed and kina and sea horses. This is my picture I created in class.
